Help X10 Status bar/ notification bar is missing

Hi. I have a Droid X and had the same appearing disappearing notification panel issue recently.
You may have accidentally double pressed the menu key on your device. This acts a hidden switch to hide the notification panel.
To set it back to normal, press the buttons in this order 'Home-Menu-Home'.

So how do you stop this from happening in the first place. The phone will be fine for the first hours and then it just disappears on wake up. It is a bit annoying to have to reboot the phone ten times a day to keep the status bar where it should.

If this is happening to you, then you have done something to the phone or the launcher.

This isn't normal and has never happened to three of the x10 phone's I support.

I would suggest installing a new launcher to fix it. If you don't want to reinstall or repair, the easiest thing to do is simply download and install a new launcher.

There are a bunch or them...here is a quick review:

Android launcher showdown: LauncherPro, ADW, Zeam, GO Launcher and QuickDesk

There are free versions of all of them...just search for them using the Andorid Market.

I have used ADW for a while and used Zeam for a while and used Go Launcher too. They all work well. They all have little differences and all have different customizations.

That should fix the notification issue.

I'm having the same issue on ideos X3..
status bar is fine. notification panel drag action doesnt work (only can be opened through menu button).

This problem started after connecting the phone via USB. Keeps sorting itself out erratically.

Thing is - default Huawei launcher notification panel is much more convenient than ADW and other launchers - in that one can open the notification panel even while running apps like browser or maps - from the top edge of the screen.
whereas in ADW and other launchers one can do the flick/drag action only on home screen.

Couldnt find a fix yet.

Can't you just change the Home Button in ADW, so that it opens and closes the Notification bar? I am pretty sure you can in Go Launcher.
