Here we go again, I know there are several other posts out there discussing this, but I am trying to get an overall consensus on what is legit, and what is not. Really I am trying to get some more info on Amzer. I am looking at all the options for an extended battery that does not need a new back plate. There seem to be mixed statements for sure about the Seidio battery, good and bad. Then there is the Amzer, which seems to have little discussion here compared to the other 2, and I am wondering why? It is rated higher mah then both the other 2 at 1800, Amzer

I wouldn't touch the Amzer 1800 mah with a ten foot pole.

I recommend getting a 1500 mah for $15-$30 which will give you a huge boost and saving the extra $20-$30 for your extra charger.

I'm with you on this one. I just bought the 1500 mah from Bidallies on ebay. Even if Seidio's battery does work as they advertise, why spend another $35 to get an extra 250 mah...

I run the 1750mh seidio battery I get an entire day of use out of it and some left over for the next day as well. I used the crap out of the phone yesterday 7 hours solid navigating calls texts asking edwin price checking and at the end of the day it was still over 60 percent power. I have been very pleased with this battery.

I purchased the 1500mah battery from Bidalies, which a lot of people recommend. I was not real impressed and I didn't like how the battery cover fit. I decided to just purchase another OEM 1300mah battery from Verizon that is for the Incredible. I got it on sale for $20.00.

Based on everything I have seen on Seidio and my personal experiences with them, I would rather not spend $40 on one of their batteries.

On a side note, I have seen a few people questioning bidalies batteries as of late. I am not a battery expert, but I have a hard time believing that someone can sell these oem batteries for $15.00 w/ free shipping. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.

Just my .02 cents.

1500 HD2 battery works great for me, but took about a week or more to be "broken in." Every few days, it'll say it can last longer and longer. A few days ago it said I can get about 10.5 hours on a full charge, and now it says I can get 12.5 hours on a full charge, which is pretty accurate. I unplug it at 10am and it's red and ready to charge by the time I go to bed sometime near midnight. Not bad if you ask me, because I bet if I let it go until it died, it'd die sometime in the early morning which is lasting much longer than I need it to.

Best "normal" size battery is the OEM HTC 1500 mah battery. All of the other brands seriously inflate their numbers. (my numbers below are from batteryboss' tests)

Seidio 1750 mah battery has about 1400mah

Amzer 1800 mah battery has about 1400mah

Mugen 1800 mah battery has abotu 1400mah

Generic 1500 mah batteries range from 800-1200mah

HTC OEM 1500 mah battery has about 1500mah

HTC OEM Extended 2150mah battery has 2150+mah

Seidio Extended 3500mah battery has about 2800mah

to be clear since I am so lost with this...the OEM is the red HD2 battery? Where do I buy that?

the generic battery...is that from bidalies on ebay? or is that considered an OEM?

OEM can be either red or black. The red batteries generally cost a few dollars more. Keep in mind the HTC OEM 1500mah battery is slightly thicker than the DINC battery. Your stock cover will work, but it will be tight. You can buy a battery for the HD2, TP2, Hero, Evo, etc.... they are all about the same size.

A generic battery is one that is not made by HTC. The $5 dollar batteries you see on ebay are generic batteries. Stay away from those.

Bidalies sells the HTC OEM batteries. There are several other sellers who sell HTC OEM batteries. I just ordered one from Bidalies myself tonight.
