How to prevent my music to show up as ringtones?

Hi,

In my music player I can set which folders it looks in for music. But since I added music to my phone all the songs shows up as ringtones which makes it very hard to pick one since I have a large SD card with a lot of music on it. Any way to only see ringtones when I want to set notification for programs?

Make a folder called "Ringtones" and another one called "Notifications". Then put the specific audio files (ringtones and notifications mp3s) into their respective folders. (These audio files need to be <30 seconds, I believe) Now Android will show the ringtones and notifications in your setting selections.

Yep, once you do that, only those files in that folder will show up when you go to select ringtones.

Let me see if I understand you correctly: I create two root folders: /Notifications and /Ringtones. I put ringtones and notifications in those folders. Where do I keep my music files (mp3s)? In /Music, or?

Correct. You can keep your music where ever you want, I use Root/Music.
