Evo fumbled onto a cement sidewalk

Pictures of the carnage below... And behold, a shiny new replacement from Asurion to make everything all better. I knew I shouldn't have nice things, but insurance helps make it less expensive.

It did have a case and a screen protector on at time of impact.

I bike to work and put my phone in a bag along with my changing clothes. The other day I forgot that my phone was in there. Pull out the pants and the phone was sent flying. It hit the side door of a steel incubator and landed on the ground. Thought it was lost, but it has a inch long scratch on the glass. Kinda expensive I guess to replace it for 100 bucks for such a small scratch.

I'm glad I have insurance as well.

Yeah, it's stupid things like that which made me decide to get the insurance. No matter how careful you plan on being, something can always happen.

I broke my Samsung Moment screen in Feb so I called DR CELL which is right off of Harry Hines in Dallas. They were able to fix it for about $102 in three days. You could call them up and ask them if they do Evos yet. At the time their web site did not say anything about repairs of Moments.
Luckily I had a backup phone.

At the time it seemed to be a very busy place.

There are other cell phone repair shops around the Bedford area, but have never dealt with them.

Really bothers me they break this easy and I have to treat it like a priceless artifact.

Thats the one thing I miss about my Samsung Instinct, I can't tell you how many times I got mad at it and purposely threw it without any issues. If I drop my EVO its probably going to blow up!

Just treat it as anger management......you get a shiny toy and therapy all in one!

I dropped mine Monday at the gas station. I was sleeping and when we pulled in I got out and bam. It fell on one of the corners and landed face down. Only thing that happened was a few small nicks and dings on the bezel and I noticed my camera lens has a crack in the formation of a "Y" in it.

So walking to class today I went to pull my EVO out of my pocket when it got caught on my shirt and backpack strap. Somehow I was able to catch it before completely losing it and dropping it on the sidewalk (I'm case-less mind you). I had a flashback to this thread and breathed a sigh of relief :p
