Themes for Samsung Vibrant?

Wassup everyone.
Questions about themes on the Vibe. I assume that the Vibe can be themed, since it is so advanced.
1. Where can I find some great themes to choose from? I have looked, with no success.
2. Do I have to root the phone to get themes on it? Because if thats the case, I would have to pass.
I have used Zedge for years on all of my phones, but they say that they dont have ANY themes for the Vibe, which SUX. But of course, their wallpaper choices are second to noone. (If you dont know, you besta ask somebody).

PS...I am currently using a G1 that I got very soon after its release. I am upgrading to the Vibrant in about 3 weeks. How excited should I be?

Gotta look harder There are tons of posts in the appropriately named "Android Themes" section of this forum, most with information on partial or full themes for your device. As for rooting, you don't -need- to have that done, but there are some cool things you can do as far as theming and modifying the GUI that require root. But apps like LauncherPro, etc, don't require root. Also, some full sets that people have made require root to push them to your device with adb or something similar.

You'll find that for you to get the theme you want, you'll have to do a combination of things like download icon packs, wallpapers, launcherpro docks, beautiful widget themes, etc, all individually. Check out the "Post your desktop" thread inside the themes section to see what others have done: most of us have also written what apps and widgets we used so you can see what is what.

As for excitement, be VERY excited. I was a long time BlackBerry enthusiast for many years, was one of the more well known people on crackberry.com due to my involvement, and even wrote some articles for them. I switched to Android and the Vibrant a couple of weeks ago and haven't looked back...this device is better than your wife being the first to apologize for something!

I havent been on this forum very long, so I suppose I just need to really learn how to tweak the the search functions. I didnt think to look in the "Android Themes" section because I was concentrated on it being a Vibrant-specific matter. Thank you for not biting my head off!!

So if I have to download multiple items to get it to work, then thats fine. As long as I can make it work, I will be happy. Thanks again!

FYI: You're going to want to start with LauncherPro. It allows you to have scrollable docks, among a lot of other features. Start there and add as you go.

Some nice themes can be found in Mobilesroom.com for Samsung Vibrant.I hope this can be benefical for the thread.

No themes for the Vibrant at the above site. Nothing more than SPAM.
