yeah i switcher maybe a week and a half ago from my eris and the speed improvements are incredible compared to a non-overclocked eris (i overclocked my eris so it was so-so)
I made the same switch, last week. I went from headaches to grins.
And no more crappy tech support and a company that doesn't believe it has an obligation to fix functions it breaks. Bye HTC...you won't see me again, I promise.
Yeah I did. After how terrible I thought the eris was I decided that I didn't want to have to deal with anything from htc again. Also, I was concerned that since htc sense is so intensive that it might get in the way of future updates. I think that moto's ui is way less in the way of android and it would be easier to get updates.
I didn't--HTC doesn't fully support their devices, and when they decide to "help," their support personnel are inept. So they make shoddy products and don't adequately help users overcome the problems that inevitably arise.
Don't like that they turned a good function into a nuisance? Get a 3rd party app. Don't like that the nuisance function also prevents friends from getting MMS? Obviously my friends' phones are too old and they should upgrade. Support responses like these have guaranteed I'll never consider another HTC product again: they're a bad company, and there's a reason they have a D- rating on the BBB.
I am supposed to be getting my D2 today or tomorrow, store out of stock. I have an eris and I regret it from the moment I got it. Miss the blackberry physical keyboard and the eris is so terribly slow. Im looking forward to it.
went thru my original eris and 3 replacement phones and finally they did my last warrenty exchange for the d2 even though its a certified like new i am beyond happy =]
