Root im stuck

I messed up the reinstall i was doing of flyx and it messed everything up. i cant boot past the M logo and i lost recovery so i have no idea what to do. It's sad because i've been doing all of this since the g1 but this is the first time ive been truly lost

sbf is your only option if you can't get into recovery, the same thing happened to me on sunday

Just remember next time after you flash... root, copy root privledges over to /xbin/. Upgrade to 2.2 and then flash the rom over it. I'm running FlyX with Tranquility over the top of it. Love it.

With latest Universal Androroot you don't even need to copy su to xbin. Just root it and you good to go.

really, why is that?, has anyone confirmed this?
If this is true thats awesome.
Why couldn't androot be used to root 2.2, since the D2 method works

I can confirm myself. Did at least three times that way. First time after root applied update.zip, and other two times just dowloaded and install 2.2 stock image in ROM Manager. Still have root access.

Did not try to root 2.2 yet. May be next time when screw up something

the 2.2 in rom manager is already rooted

But for 2.1 it is confirmed that if you root with universal androroot you don't have to move su to/xbin.

It appears he took my suggestion and the xbin folder is now used for su.
