Help Using Gmail contact pictures instead of Facebook

Hi, I have searched the forums and found plenty of threads for updating the contact pictures when they change their facebook picture.

However, what I am trying to do is to get my contacts picture from their Gamil contact card to disply instead of the Facebook page. The only way that I can seem to do it is to 'un-link' the Facebook account for that person.

Anyone find another way?

Tap on "linked" in the top right corner of their contact page, then tap on their picture on the page with the linked accounts. It'll let you choose between the person's contact pic for whatever accounts you have linked or you can use your own picture.

This works, but at least on my phone, it reverts to the Facebook picture after a while, sometimes a day or two. Really annoying.

I also don't like that there is no way for me to update the Pic that is pulled from facebook. The pic doesn't update as people change their picsc. I'm stuck with some crappy old pics for people and cant' get it to use their newer ones. I have tried unlinking - relinking.. but no good.. still uses old useless photo
