Accessories Pics: White carbon fiber Phantom Skinz on white Evo

There have been a couple shots of the black carbon fiber skins on black Evos here, some from the stores and some DIY... I just got the Phantom Skinz white carbon fiber design and put it on my white Evo today and thought I'd share.

Even the Phantom Skinz website doesn't have a picture up of this yet - they show the sample on an iPhone 4, of all things.

Because it wraps around the sides, only the bezel in the front remains black... I think it's a better look overall than having the half-black, half-white sides.

Phantom Skinz did a pretty darned good job on the cuts, but some of the side pieces feel a little short. I managed to stretch them a bit and gain some extra coverage by warming the top and bottom strips with a hairdryer and bending those a little more tightly. You can still seen the joins, but that may just be my own installation errors.

Hey now THATs one sexxy Evo rite there.Must look amazing in person,And the white kickstand is the icing in the cake..id get a clear TPU case to keep your baby pristine,,thanks for the thread,just ordered mine for my black Evo.

I went on YouTube and searched "phantom skins carbon fiber for the Evo' and saw a few vids of the black installations,the black carbon fiber is just amazing..waiting for mines to arrive.

Nope, it's not pink... the angle is funky, but thats the little notch where you lift up the battery cover from. It just barely shows the red inside.

I did get a little ink spot on it the other day and freaked out because it really stands out on the white - but it came off with a little rub of a damp cloth, thank goodness. So yeah, I'm looking at clear cases now!

nor am i big on carbon fiber accessories, i work in the auto industry and some people just take it a little too far.

but this phone does look pretty damn good nice job!

does it interfere with taking your battery cover off? am i right in thinking that the side pieces are separate?

The side pieces are separate, so no, it does not interfere with taking the cover off easily.
