Help quick question about google apps on facinate

Sorry guys. New to the smartphone world. Haha. Since facinate uses Bing and Microsoft products. Does that mean the facinate does not come with Google talk, Google voice, gmail installed? Like how the Incredible does since its a Google phone.are my assumptions correct? Need some clarification.

It will definitely come with those. There is the Gmail app and Google Talk app already installed. You have to download Voice from market.

Basically, the ONLY thing that Bing really takes over is Search. I downloaded Google maps and can use it just fine.

thanks for the answer. it helps alot. i really want the gmail,gtalk, and voice apps. dont really care about the bing search bar. had the google search bar on my Inc and didnt use it anyway. google homepage is good enough for me.

Yep, if I hit the Voice Search, I can say "nagivate to ..." and it Google Nav pops right up. I've used it 4 times now and Google Nav works great.

Thanks Ty, the more I hear the more anxious I am to get mine in Nov. I can deal with the battery (my D1 is only a 12 hour phone) but now the only thing is the GPS- I'll know for sure by Nov.

If you are waiting to be eligible for an upgrade, call verizon now. I wasn't eligible until october 19, called them and got my eligibility date pushed up to September 9th, we'll get the phone on Monday.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I'll stop by today and see if they can "hook me up". Even a month early would be good, I would like to have it before my big trip. I love my D1 but really tired of the thickness, weight, and never used keyboard. I plan to get a skin for the Fascinate so I am not worried about smudges and slipperiness. My Body Glove saved my D1 when it jumped out of my lap to the concrete from SUV height whilst I was sitting in a garage.
