Anybody watch the Premier League?

Neh, even though I'm a huge Manchester United fan - it doesn't stop me from watching and looking at other PL games either. Just as I love United, I also have a big crush on certain football players out there.

And I personally think if it wasn't for all those teams and great players, PL would be a boring boring watch!

of course it would!
if there was only one or two teams who was capable of winning then it would not be exciting at all.

thats how la liga is to me, real madrid and barca are the only teams that have a chance at the title, especially since david villa and david silva left valencia

I know, Valencia just tossed their chance out of their window. Mind me, they are still a fabelous team - but they need so much more quality to really be a threat towards Real Madrid and Barcelona. I just hope for a bigger nation change of who will dominate in european football!

Would be nice seeing not so many people going almost into direct import for those two clubs!

Sunderland fan here!

Quite the finish last week! What a game! :D

Good seeing we have more fans on different teams here. I must admit I was surprised by Darren Bent last season. He was wicked, to the point where I shaked my head that he wasn't with England into the WC.

Never thought i would be posting in a premier league related thread, as i'm a Blackpool supporter so thought i better make the most of it :)
Having against all the odds & so called expert pundit predictions last season we made it to the premier league after a fantastic play off final at Wembley!

We've already been written off as no hopers & one season wonders! But even having endured a couple of hammering's to Arsenal & Chelsea already i'm hopeful we once again may prove the bookies & a lot of people wrong, by managing to avoid relegation!

One thing is for certain you can guarantee Ollie & the boys will Give it their best shot!

C'mon You Pool!

games start back up tomorrow... so who do you think will take the season?

i'd love to say arsenal, but realistically its chelsea. if arsenal can manage to keep everyone at fitness (once they return to fitness that is) they can pull something out.

fabregas, RvP, walcott, vermaelan, bendtner... injuries galore. but walcott and bendtner are almost full strength now, and vermaelan is back in 10 days, along with sagna.

cesc and van Persie need to get to health soon though =P

Arsenal *could* win, but alas we stutter against the big teams.
While I love the way Chelsea play (though Arsenal are the nicest to watch), it annoys me that their success is down to some corrupt obligarch who causes hardship for millions.
LOL
Anyway personally I would bet on Chelsea 1st, Arsenal 2nd, Man Utd 3rd, Man City 4th, Villa 5th, Spurs 6th
I suspect will be seeing those teams as a new "top 6" for the next few years too.
And Liverpool relegated :p (OK, 15th )

Arsene Wenger's pretty football and not chucking big money around deserves to be rewarded with some silverware - it's the right way to go about things and in the best interests of the game

Indeed
Arsenal and Aston Villa (yet Villa cant turn a profit - €15m loss last yr) are the only two properly managed teams in the Premier League.
Man Utd & Liverpool are heavily indebted (the latter almost into administration)
Spurs goes in cycles of bad/good managemenet
While Man City and Chelsea have had dozens of million euro pumped into them as playthings... :(
