Long time Netscape user, but now I'm tired of it. I'm considering using AOL, and I have a few questions.

How many of you are pleased with the free version?

How many feel it necessary to use the paid version?

Do you usually find the music you're looking for? (specify free or paid please)

Is it easy to move their files from folder to folder, or computer to phone, or..anything else you may want to do?

Why do you like it?

If you're getting a high speed connection from your cable, phone, or satellite company, there is absolutely no need for additional software like AOL. I'd say I started weening myself off of it when my phone company finally got DSL out here.

You're going to be using IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc for web browsing. All you need besides that is an e-mail address (assuming you're not going to use your ISP's software since there's no need for it and it's just another thing to bog your computer down). Gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc. free.

I had been an AOL user since the mid 90s and finally ditched them. I'm using the free version to keep my e-mail address. Their software has nothing to offer. I used to keep it for their message boards, but then they drastically changed them, and eventually got rid of them altogether.

AOL and Limewire? Man, I feel sorry for your computer.

And apparently only one person caught on in this thread. :p

Yeah, I don't get it. Anyways, I used to use AOL probably 10 yeas ago, but it looks like my login still works, crazy! Signed in with my old AOL e-mail and password, and it let me right in and even still remembered my name. E-mail inbox is totally empty, guess I lost all my 10-year-old e-mails. Bummer!
