That'd be a great sticky for any of the device forums, Steven (edited a bit to make it generic). ;)

Nah.. I'll post something similar, but no more stickies! :D

My name is Mortosa and I was a lurker

So i registered.... I have spent a few days checking out your forums since I am thinking about getting a personal phone. I dont like the IPhone and love Verizon since the corporation i work for uses verizon exclusively. I do carry a blackberry for work purposes but I am looking for a good phone to replace my ipod touch, and such. So I am thinking a droid 2. I do like to do research before I purchase so I have enjoyed these forums

Hello, the name's Hulkcrawler.

Admittedly, I've been a lurker for a few weeks now. :l I just switched to Verizon and picked up a Moto Droid at the end of July, and, near the end of August, I traded it in for a Droid 2 for the processing speed and upgraded slide-out qwerty.

Since then I've been rapidly trying to absorb as much information as possible, as I had absolutely no experience with Android, adb, rooting, etc. I'm a little obsessive about gathering every possible bit of knowledge on new hobbies and trying to figure everything out. I now have a rooted Droid 2 running Epic 2.0 with an extended 1860 mah battery, and I am loving it.

I never would have dreamed that I would be playing Fire Emblem and Crono Cross (Gameboid, PSXoid) on my phone with a wireless Wii remote (SimpleWiiController,) and downloading torrents to my remote pc while I'm away (Torrentfu, LogMeIn,) and then accessing them through Dropbox. The capabilities are absolutely staggering.

Thank you all for all of your contributions and for coaxing me out of the shadows. ;) I wouldn't be nearly as adept or have as many capabilities without your help.

Peace.

Hi. My name is Paul. And I'm not an addict. I can quit any time (after my 2 year contract expires).

Just upgraded from a Voyager Titanium to the Droid 2 yesterday. My first real experience with the Android OS. So far, I've installed Facebook, PDANET, and some Star Trek and Family Guy ring tones. I've changed the wallpaper and moved a few icons around. I've also linked my two gmail accounts. Just getting started with things.

Now to figure out how to get individual ringtones for certain people and turn off the blinking notification LED when I'm sleeping.

Hmmm.... only 24 hours with the phone and 4 hours on this forum. Am I still a lurker? ;)

Welcome! No. You are not a lurker. I have a feeling you'll be a huge contributor. :)

BTW, you are indeed addicted. You show all the signs. Sorry. ;) :p
