LauncherPro Plus update- now includes Facebook widget

So when my Droid X comes in I plan on getting the LPP and putting it on my phone. Since this will be my first android phone, could someone tell me if I need to delete everything off my screens from the stock (like the widgets and stuff, not like the mail, text messages or the marketplace) and then go in and get the LPP? I heard that someone didn't do that and someone on here thought his stock widgets that he didn't delete were updating in the background cause he didn't delete them. I just want to get this right the first time and I looked everywhere for proper LPP installation rules and I couldn't find them. If they're out there and I didn't see them then I apologize and please direct me to them. Thanks! :D

When you install LPP, it will remove all the stock widgets and leave like 3 icons on the home screen.

No worries.

It doesn't remove anything from your stock launcher. I would recommend deleting them especially ones that are updating.

Are you using the paid version? I am, so if you're not, that may be your problem.

The paid version and the free version are exactly the same in the market, there shouldn't be any difference.

So I should leave the icons like mail and marketplace and manually get rid of the other widgets? Just double checking.

It really doesn't matter if you leave them or not, and if your widgets aren't updating it shouldn't matter either. The only reason why I said anything is because if the widgets on a launcher are updating its using resources and you are getting nothing out of it.

If anyone is interested in a theme for their lpp I have attached one. A little hint backup launcherpro then uninstall. Put this on sd card and install. Restore launcherpro and you're off and running. This is the most current version of LP (the pictures are old I know) and all widgets are themed the same way.

dont like how you basically need a whole page for the widget unless im doing something wrong

Put 5 rows on you homepage in LPP settings, then hold the widget like your are going to move it, but don't move it, then let go and you can resize the widget. resize it to a 4x 2 widget and you will still have 3 whole rows free. I resized my messaging and calendar widgets to put them on the same screen with a 4x 1 switchpro widget.

LauncherPro-0.7.8.0.apk

That's cool, does it include the FB widget and would you be willing to do one in red, I have no idea how difficult it is to change colors? Better yet, could you post some instructions how you themed these widgets and I will give it a shot, I've been wanting to get into theming anyways.

After updating to the new LP (I am rooted with flyx V0.1 final and build.prop mods) and running the the facebook and people widgets my phone would not charge and got very hot. I deleted the LP + app and everything is back to normal. Any one else have this problem?
Thanks,
Odie

I haven't had any problems at all, but I have only had my phone on the charger for about 10 min since I updated and added the FB widget over 13 hours ago. :)

Do I need to be rooted to do this? I'm too chicken at the moment. Looks awesome.
