Juice Defender Works!

Noticeably better battery life. I see no minuses. All you do is download its totally automatic or you can go the manual route for even more fine tuning too. And its FREE!

How so? Maybe I'm not setting it up right, but I don't see it doing much. I thought it would toggle 3G and GPS on and off as needed, but it doesn't. I still have to go in and shut off GPS when I'm done using Google maps. Am I doing something wrong?

Guys - I had it - and uninstalled it. I'm sure *I* messed something up. I kept getting "No Network Connection", when I went in to Market - from in my house - never had that problem before.

I just installed "Switch Pro", but - would be more than happy to just Juice Defender - even the paid version.

Right now - I'm in a love/hate relationship. I LOVE the device - I HATE the battery life.

I opted for something similar but more configurable:

Tasker for Android

Tasker came 3rd in the Productivity category in the Android Developer Challenge 2.

I love tasker. You can literally automate anything on the phone (turn on/off features based on events, times, dates, etc). I'll give juice defender a try too

Thanks for the heads-up - I'll check it out. I would think that of Juice Defender, Switch Pro, and Tasker, you would only need one!

Tasker SOUNDS like the best of the bunch because of it's functionality - however - a lot of people are reporting that it sucks the battery.
