Help Google Maps Pinch & Zoom

I think this has been mentioned before, but rather than resurrect an old thread, I thought I'd start again.

I was out with some people tonight, and we started Androiding, as you do. I updated my Google Maps, but still cannot pinch and zoom - yet the HTC Desire owner and HTC Hero owner with me can both pinch and zoom Google Maps.

So why is my Legend not able to do it?

Hmmm...curiouser and curiouser then, as I can pinch and zoom in other applications!

Apologies if this offends, but just wanted to *bump* this post, to see if anyone else is having the same issue, or if others have any ideas as to what could be causing it.

I can pinch & zoom on all other apps - just not Google Maps. Google Maps is updated to version 4665 (4.5.1). The pinch & zoom also did not work with the previous version.
