Same here man! I actually pre-ordered my Evo 3 days before the Epic launched. That week, I stopped by a sprint store on my lunch break to check it out and I was just awe struck with that screen. I canceled my Evo pre-order with BB and have an Epic on pre-order now.

My main concern is battery life but after doing much reading here and on many other sites, I am ready to play with it and make it last the way i want it to.....hopefully. I will mainly be watching my 720p BR rips, web surfing, texting to the gf and emails.

I'm considering giving up my blackberry Tour for the Epic. I'm just lurking to get a feel for what you guys are going through to see if it's for me. I mostly watch the battery life threads since my blackberry only lasts 10 or so hours on a single charge, which sucks when I'm usually on the move and can't charge up often (and I don't plan on carrying a spare battery in my pocket wherever I go). If the Epic can last as my blackberry (basically the commute to work, from work, and my entire work shift), I'll jump ship quickly (I am super tired of the spinning clock always popping up).

Is there a certain amount of time that would be good to wait before getting an Epic? When the blackberry tour came out, people had screen ripple issues and trackball issues. By the time I got my blackberry (2 months after launch), all of their issues were resolved. Basically if anyone has a feeling that a new revision will come out soon, I'll just wait for it.

Piccard is good for diplomacy. Kirk is good if you need to totally annihilate your enemies and for a good time call Janeway. heheh I jest. I love Voyager.

Doesn't Mulgrew/Janeway's delivery strike you as robotic? The way she speaks always reminds me of the Coneheads.

Props to your welcoming manner, Steven. One of the things that attracted me to this forum was the level of civility of the users, enthusiasm of the mods and general openness toward novices and new users. Every hobby forum should be as inviting as AF.

I'm watching Janeway as we type. I'm watching the Q and the Gray. Great episode. She's fine. My feelings was that the show really accelerated
when Jeri Ryan (seven of nine) was introduced.

I had to sell my incredible and close vzw (no more discount). So now I have the Epic. I keep telling myself I'm going to be keeping this one for a very long time, I like it that much.

Dont get me wrong I really like Piccard he's awesome and was a great follow up in the opposite direction. But the problem was he was surrounded buy a bunch of terrible actors excluding Data. You guys must all be younger than 35 to be throwing out those Kirk comments lol. SNG was really good when the Borg showed up. Voyager was pretty good....Janeway...aaahhh I dont know shes not hot thats for sure if thats what your getting at.

I was having call quality issues and wanted the larger screen. They took my fone back at 59 days! VZ is amazing. Glad to see ya!

Getting the Epic tomorrow morning. Upgrade data was supposed to be Oct 1st, but I am going to be able to do an early upgrade. I love my Hero, it was my first android and my stepping stone. I will keep the Epic for a year, then move on to what ever is the latest at that time. My wife and kids are on Verizon, and it sucks they have to wait for 2 yrs to upgrade.

First order of business will be rooting.
