Help What is Latest Firmware? Help??

Hi,
I am currently running R2BA026, The PC companion is telling me there is an update available, what are the chances of this? only last time when it said it, it was the same build and I lost everything.
So does any one know is there is a new version, or how to tell what version it is trying to update too?

LOL, I Havent done it yet, i dont wanna have to set my phone up again, i was hoping to be able to back up the apps etc on it, but the built in Back up and Restore only does contacts etc.
any one know how to save downloaded apps? if i can back up these i will bite the bullet and do it TODAY. Oh and im UnRooted

my backup pro will backup your apps..but if for eg it puts on 2.1...will the apps work?

Best to start fresh imho...besides, the phone is so much faster after doing it

If it is 2.1 i agree mate
but the back up is just incase it doesnt do anything again..cos last time REALLY Annoyed me #

Well ive just got mybackup pro and backed up, nice app that.
and went to update, today pc companion said my phone was upto date, so dunno what it was playing at other day, but it means the latest firmware is R2BA026.

I wouldn't laugh too much, the 026 update actually made the phone worse, don't update to it.

+1 on that, wish I'd left it at 023! But you get that little update available thing and you exceitedly (and rather blindly) push the button expecting SE to have worked out kinks like dropping wifi that they got rid of in 023 but kindly gave us back in 026. Thanks SE!! Don't get too hung up on the numbers is now my opinion.

cant say ive had any major issues with 26 other than the random format it did.

Bollards - I ran the update hoping it was 2.1 especially when it weighed in at 151MB. What I have now is an X10 that was R2BA026 and is now R2BA024. Upon reboot the phone also told me I had a missed call from 2 days ago

You'll forgive me for asking what is probably a very silly question but how do you find what the latest firmware version is? I have been trying to decide whether to debrand the phone but I've found 2 methods which differ slightly and both use what I *think* are old firmware versions. This is the first SUES update I've done and it was slow and painful and I don't know if the debranding process has to be done every time there is an update or if SUES can just be used as normal.
