Asking what is possible with root is kind of like asking what is possible with a computer. The list is endless depending entirely on how much you want to read, learn and try. It opens the phone up for you to do basically anything you want should you have the desire to find out how.

Asking how to do such things, well, that's what this root forum is for. All sort of topics here and on the xda dev's board explaining how to do all sorts of different things. It's not something that can really be summarized into one post. That's why we have (let me look) 43 pages worth of root threads on this one board alone! If that's not enough for you, then you can also read and learn and code your own stuff. It's a never ending possibility
