Help Epic 4G Mass Storage taking forever to show up.

are you pulling down the notification bar...then clicking usb, then clicking mount?

Yes, then it goes to a blue screen saying turn on/off. Maybe its juice defender or something. I really dont know.USB storage is on though. My computer is just scanning the folders or something. Could some program be using files from the SD maybe that is why it is taking so long?

Could it be because I dont unmount my card?

Are you using a Windows XP, Vista, or 7 system? I had more trouble with my XP desktop than my Windows 7 laptop. The Windows 7 was so simple it was literally as easy as plugging in the USB cable, and clicking "Mass Storage" on the EPIC. Boom, that was it!!! XP.... yeah, what can I say it was finnicky.

Okay - how about this - I have never even seen the mass storage option. When I plug it in it isn't recognized. I have done the usb/mount, but the mass storage never came up --- when is is supposed to? Is there a way to find it??

As soon as you plug it into your PC 3 options appear Charging, Mass Storage, Tethering. Did you install the drivers already?

Same thing here. Just does not work right in Win7 64 bit. It USED to but now it doesn't. Some solutions are to format the card... yeah, no, I'm not going to wipe everything off my SD card because it maaay fix the problem. It reads perfectly in Ubuntu 10.04, I don't know why Windows can't handle it. Tried every port, every driver, everything. ****ing stupid.
