Root ZOMG - Flashlight?

Ally my friends who have droids and mytouches and stuff get to use the cool LED flashlight app. Well... I feel left out... I want one too.

Is there any app out there for the Ally that uses the LED? If not is there any chance we could make one

You can use Any Cut to create a shortcut to Flash LED, which let's you turn it on and off. It works until an actual app comes out at least.

I used launcher pro to create a new shortcut to a new activity under lg hidden menu then Flash LED on/off

idk if it has anything to do with the fact that i have launcher pro plus because i never tried it before i bought it. but what i did was long press on home screen and hit shortcut. the press activities. the find com.lge.LgHiddenMenu then Flash LED on/off. for anyone who wants this i suggest you buy launcher pro plus as it allows the flashlight and comes with 6 htc like widgets. well worth the $2.99 you pay

I can do that. I never knew launcher pro did that. Well anyway when I do that it makes the Notification Light flash a lot random colors. And I cant stop it. Kinda weird.

This happens using the anycut method also. Just be sure to use the back button to close the app otherwise the notification light will continue to blink rgb.

Is there a way to make a shortcut that rather than taking you to the menu with the checkbox actually toggles?

It would be nice to have a widgetlike icon to turn the flash led on/off instead of a shortcut to the menu.

Wow it all works . Well here is an idea. Add the shorcut in launcher pro. Here is a nice icon. When you enter the app press the checkbox. Now your lights on. To exit press back as stated by the others. Dont un-check the box... when you press back it will turn off. Now launch it again. Notice you dont have to check the box. The light is on!

You can change it using luancher pro. Thats what I use.
