Root Looking for a new rom and want some suggestions

I am currently running sky raider 3.1 sense with hydra kernel oc1.13, I love how SR has the tweeked look but it isn't as quick as I would like. So I'm looking for something a little snappier, but still looks different than stock, and is stable.I'm currently lookin at Virtuous and Redemption but any suggestion will help. Thanks.

I've been using Virtuous for a couple days now and it is by far my favorite ROM so far. It is extremely stable and fast, and easy to customize and delete unwanted apps with Titanium.

I was running adrynalyne's fourth wave for a while which was also great, but there was an issue with all the widgets and homescreen icons re-creating over themselves on some reboots, so I ditched that until he comes out with an update.

Also, Incredible Revolution is a theme that integrates with Virtuous flawlessly, and I think it's pretty sick so that was another added bonus.

Virtuous is an excellent choice! Definitely check out uncommon sense as well this is a sharp ROM and has the smooth sense icons and a 6 bar dBm meter built in for a little different feel. Nice transparent app drawer as well. It's fast and so far very stable.

I am trying to find the difference between the two besides uncommon being a little more buggy which will be bad since I'm trying to convince my girl who has an evo to root. Also virtuous seems really easy to customize but it sounds like any thing for virtuous will work for uncommon, is this the case?

Probably, but I haven't tried it yet. Uncommon Sense takes all the work that rmk did on Virtuous and just tweaks it a little in an attempt to make it more streamlined.

I tried uncommon sense first and it looks awesome except for the rosie task bar, but handcent forced closed after each message I sent, and when I deleted app brain would force close, and most important swype force closed every 20 seconds til I disabled it. On the bright side before I loaded all my apps it was very quick 1300 quadrant score on that stock kernel. 1563 on kings bfs4. 1370 on kings 3 1.13

At the end of the night I put virtuous on my phone with the revoked theme so fast it had run flawlessly and I will start playing with other kernels in a bit. Look wise it is far enough from stock to catch anyones attention. I wish I could put the rotory lock on this theme but not yet. But I am very happy with this ROM and would recommend it to all of you.and the best part is it seems like the developer keeps on top of this ROM and plenty of other people are porting themes to it. Oh yea one downfall is while it is easy to delete some of the bloat ware, you still have to go into adb to get rid of all of it.

Shadow ROM and KK AOSP Kernal FTW

1800Quadrant @ 1.113 , great battery life, blazing fast loading of everything, cool customization features.
GPS Works all BT Features work, WiFi works , camera and camcorder work. It's just plain great imo

I just got my Replacment Increidble and to my surprise they sent a Brand New one in box I've just gotta get it rooted and I'll flash Shadow rom on it and test the phone features since I couldn't test those

Cool! I think I'll flash it tonight. I only had 2 Asurion claims over 3 years for 4 phones and each time they sent me a new one. I'm not surprised. Take your time, get it configured and working.

I'm a setCPU addict ha, I have it set to 1.113ghz on Set CPU and then my normal power saving settings .

The phone is insanely fast, this ROM and Kernal might make me change my mind on the Fascinate and wait for the IncredibleHD .

Flashing Shadow and the KK Kernal on my new Incredible now . Hope to see similar results

It's the new AOSP kernal it's the only one that will work on this ROM . I would install ADW or LP on this so you can use Dialer One .

Not familiar with Dialer One but I'll look it up. I have ADW on Titanium so perhaps I'll do a restore. But I'm running KK #4 now and it's working just fine. Downloading your link now and will flash is a sec.

Dialer One is a really cool dialer alternative especially on a pure Vanilla rom like this so you still get the cool search features like Sense.

No flashlight which I liked or Friendstream but it is quite snappy. I'll put in my bumped 1500 tomorrow morning and see what happens. Got a 1400+ score with stock speeds. Still tweaking....

I use the flashlight daily , I've always used Lamppu it has a fantastic widget too. Check it out
