Root [ROM] Uncommon Sense

It's a pretty nice ROM for those who still like Sense but want a different feel. It's still in beta but is super smooth and stable.


Edit: I have nothing to do with this ROM. Just figured that a lot of people don't go over to XDA and might have missed this. All thanks should go to deficitism and all the other contributors.

Using now just flashed this coming from Ruby and Virtuous I like it so far!

This is my favorite rom so far. However, has anybody else had trouble installing apps from the market at all? This is not just specific to this rom, it has happened to me on just about every other rom except virtuous. The app will download then say "installing" forever. WTF? any suggestions or fixes. all thanks are appreciated.. ps.. I reaaaaally like uncommon sense more than any other rom except virtuous, but that will change if there is a fix for this problem.

I've also had this very same thing happen intermittently with virtuous.

Installed and did not like due to a problem when unlocking. Took anywhere from about 4 to 8 seconds for screen to wake up when hitting power button.

I have this same problem. One workaround I have found it to sit a watch it download and install. If you move away from the app download page it just downloads indefinitely.
Another way to get it to install is go to your downloads folder in your SD card. You will find one to a bunch of files called download1, download2, download3, etc. open one of these... it is your app. You can manually install from there. This is also a bit of a pain the ass, but it works.

I'll report back if it happens again, but I've not had the app install problem happen at all since I installed Virtuous 2.7 with the custom kernel a couple days ago. Things just keep getting better all the time. (Wow, that would make for some good lyrics in a song!)

P.S. I realize this thread is supposed to be about the Uncommon Sense ROM, just thought I'd "follow up" on what I had posted before.

Same here on occasion with virt, uncommon, ruby, and skyraider. Weirdly enough I do not have this with MIUI

I am sill on 2.6 and no longer have the issue.
