Best Froyo Apps?

Now that I've flashed CM6 and have Froyo on my Hero and am loving it btw, what apps would you suggest that I wasn't able to use on 2.1?

If this is your first rom, you have all new apps from the market for rooting purposes only;)
Root:
Cache cleaner (1 click cache cleaner, saves a lot of time clearing out cache)
Titanium Backup
OC widget or SetCPU( you can find SetCPU for free over in xda somewhere)

2.2:
Chrome 2 Phone
Google Search( don't know if this 2.2 only or not)
Voice Search( not sure either if 2.2 only)

im a huge fan of Chrome to phone. I use cache cleaner once every few days or if i get a bit on the slow side. I have toyed with OC widget, but havnt really felt the need to keep it. I use my phone as a music player a lot (pandora at the gym) and i just couldnt find a reasonable underclock screen that allowed the music to play right with the screen off, so i just let the stock ROM handle my cpu speed

I just d/l Cache Cleaner and OC Widget. (What setting is best for Hero w/CM6?)

One of the big reasons I wanted to get Froyo was the Voice Search, but while researching rooting and flashing, I came across Vlingo, which I think I like better than the Google version.

best settings for me with oc widget would be 556-768

phone is very VERY FAST

How does this app help? I'm just curious. I thought the best it could do was just show you that you actually do have gps issues. If there is another feature to it, or if I am misunderstanding in let us know. Ty!

Some who are running cm6 and Dec's uncapped kernels are having trouble getting a solid lock on their gps for an extended period of time. One theory is to flash over to the fresh rom and get a solid gps lock there and nand restore back to cm6. Your gps should be fine getting a lock on cm6 then. Seems like a lot of work if you are consistently flashing nightlies all the time. I know I have:) Second theory that has helped me is to just do play around with the places app, nav app and the maps app and wait a couple of min until I get a solid gps lock. Worked for me, had no issues with getting a gps lock. But sometimes it would take a minute or two for google nav, places and map to find my exact location.

Having said that, someone said to try GPS Status from the market. After downloading, I did this xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM] Cyanogenmod 6.0.0 Testing For Hero CDMA I have not had any issue with a gps lock since I downloaded the 912. Even after flashing 2 more nightlies, I get a gps lock in less that 2-3 seconds.:D

Worth downloading GPS Status imo

I guess it's not really an app but I do like the 'update all' feature in android market. Instead of updating one at a time, hit the update all and you're good to go:D

eh..it's a double edge sword really..sometimes it's good not to update all apps..those comments be looking horrible once the update comes around lol..handscent anyone?? haha

Yep, I agree did not think of that until you wrote it. Happened to me with an application called golf card. Worse decision I made was to update that app. (It's better now, lol)

i back up all my apps with app monster once i feel like it's working right..then once an update comes around and i feel it isn't up to par..just reload the app again. good to do this since sometimes the user pulls the app from the market or google does itself

such apps like iMusic and music junk <<<< great music apps that aren't available no more that are backed up in my card :D
