Halo:Reach

Trying to get promoted at work sucks, lmao, I was hoping to snag this last night at the midnight release and chill to play today but nope, here I am, sitting at work. The multi-player beta for the game was incredible and from what I've read so far a lot of Halo haters who have actually played Reach have been converted, all I know is I cant wait to get home.

Reach is supposed to be the best work Bungie has done on the Halo franchise...supposed to take you back to "the old days" of Halo CE. Looks pretty sweet...can't wait to play some multi-player.

I played multi first and then played a little camp before I passed out. Campaign is pretty good, and the multi is just a learning curve I need to get over because I play CoD and not Halo. But other than that it's amazing.

I didn't really get that impression when I played the beta. I was a huge Halo 1 fan and I personally feel like the series went downhill afterwards. The SP was always the best part which I have played all 3 but the multiplayer makes me sick to my stomach with the garbage they put out.

Halo: The Last Reach Into Your Wallet

True story lol. Funny story: I get home from work and my fiancee is like "go check your man cave." Sure enough a copy of Halo: Reach is sitting on my 360 with a $20 gift card to Best Buy. I said "why did you buy this?" She said "I thought you would like it so I got it for you." I said.. "I hate Halo.." but then I retracted my previous statement and said "well I get 30 days to play this before I return it. Thanks honey!" LMFAO.

Game = wow!

Thank you Bungie for not f**king this up like you did ODST, graphics are amazing, customization armor options are bad @$$, new weapons are bad @$$, multiplayer is fun, esp with the different armor load outs.

I dont get on and play that often between the time I spend with my wife, my kids, my dog, work, working on the house, motorcycle, motorcycle club, and shooting or other various activities but if anyone wants to send me an add for xbox live my gamer tag is: ba11isticn8

I continue to hear good things about this game, but I can't get over the fact how weird the beta felt earlier this May. Maybe I'm used to MW2 now? I played H3 from its release up until this past January. Then it's been MW2 ever since. I tried playing H3 the other night and just couldn't do it. I missed killstreaks and perks. And the killcam. So many people just camp in a corner and when you turn your back, they snipe you and you're left wondering "wtf?"

Plus, the potency of the guns has changed as well. No three-shot BR? And the classes really anger me. I can't remember the names, but one had a jet pack. Really? Then that stupid one where you pounded the ground and had a shield around you? Ghey.

Two people I know have it now. One just loves video games, the other loves Halo. I'm not excited to play it, but if I get the chance, I'll give it a shot.

In the meantime, I got $60 worth of Best Buy Gift cards sitting here, waiting on the release of Black Ops. The gameplay of that looks ridiculous. I care nothing for the storyline (on both Halo and COD). I just care for the online multiplayer and how fun it is. Reach doesn't look to have the same elements H3 did. I like change, but not this radical of a change.

Oh Im sorry, I stopped playing Halo after they released everything else for xbox, Halo was not xbox exclusive. I still have Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC. It was stupid on their part to only market it to xbox. When Halo 2 came out on the xbox and not PC, Bungie lost a lot of solid players and customers.

What they should have done was market Reach for 360 and PC... IMO it would have looked incredible on a lot of PCs. But no they didnt and now they are as good as dead.

Halo: CE had a lot of solid good players, once Halo 2 came out and anybody could get a mic and an xbox, the franchise completely died when screaming 11 year olds came on board.

Though I have to credit Halo: CE and Halo 2's competitive scene, they are pretty top-notched.

Maybe H2 and H1 are/were benchmarks for the series and how it should have been made. Thing is, I owned Halo:CE for PC, so no online multiplayer. I had H2 for Xbox, but didn't get Live until I got my 360. Then I played H3 religiously for two years. So that is my benchmark. When I played H2 online a few times before the servers were shut down, I didn't like it. Reach feels just like that and it seems H3 was a huge deviation from 1,2, and Reach. It takes so much longer to kill someone and I think the class system is just stupid.

But that's just me. I'll definitely keep H3 close to me and never forget it, but I've already started looking forward to Black Ops. I've seen gameplay videos and it seems like the gameplay remains the same with new killstreaks, weapons and story. I can handle that much change. Not a something as radical as reverting back two games in the series ago for amount of health and weapon style.

I miss the BR. The crap they have now is just dumb.
