I just jumped on this deal. I have an iphone 3GS right now (had an iphone in 4 in June but returned it due to antenna issues). Now my 3GS is failing and I had been looking into an Android phone but was hesitant to break my AT&T contract. Well, AT&T refuses to reset my upgrade date since I bought a subsidized iphone in June, even though I returned it. Now they have my upgrade date listed as 11/2011. My contract with them ends on 05/2011. Try and make sense of that. My ETF is down to $100 so it is cheaper to swap carriers and and break my contract than to stay with them. Hope I like this phone!
This $0.01 is for a new line/account only, right? If I select "existing customer" it's back to $99 on Amazon. Even though I'm off contract, would I have to start a new account (and a new phone number) to get it for $0.01?
I do like the option of a 30 day trial when purchasing directly from Verizon - and the ability to exchange, as this will be my wife's first full smartphone without a keyboard. But is this worth $100?

Someone in another thread just mentioned that their Verizon store price-matched Amazon's $99. Might be worth checking in to for that 30-day trial thing.
