Okay. So i thought i could survive without the LED notification. But....i cant. Its killing me not being able to glance at my phone and know if i have missed something. Does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever on a good notification app or something? Thanks in advance.

Install 'noled' from the market. It's great and it will help you.
Good luck

I know it kind of sucks. But I'm easily getting used to just hitting the unlock button instead of looking at my phone blankly for 3-4 seconds to see if it flashes.

I still hope they somehow find a way to fix this officially. I really didn't like NoLED.

Yeah. Just tried NoLED. Seems like a cheap way out. LOL. But, i agree with you on the hitting unlock instead of staring blankly at my phone. haha

what effect does noled have on battery life? I noticed that it prevents the phone from going to to sleep mode in order to display the notification blips. It would be awsome if they had the capacitive keys fade on and off slowly to let you know you had a message or email instead.

NoLed hasn't had a noticeable effect on my battery. On the rare occasion I haven't caught the notification quickly and it ran for an hour plus, it has over heated my phone. As a precaution, I now set the notifications to time out after an hour. I appreciate the work the dev has put in on the app, but I like the button idea you all are talking about.

this was what i did:

i have several private emails hosted on google apps. we all know there is no led indicator on the Fascinate, an NOLED only works with gmail accounts. so I forwarded a copy from my private emails to my gmail account. not pretty, but at least i get an indictor when i get new emails. hope this simple trick helps someone also frustrated about not led.
