Help Patriot Day (Calendar)

So this is kind of weird but I just noticed that today something popped up on my calendar for Sept. 11 and it says "Patriot Day (all day)" - and then is listed under US Holidays.

Odd because it was never there until today (the 15th) and no other US Holiday is "notched" on my calendar. Also, there's no way to delete it: only to add a reminder (which since it was 4 days ago, I figure I no longer need to do). I'm kind of ocd and delete all my old calendar entries after the day is passed and cannot figure out how this got there and why it won't go away.

Not really the end of the world but it makes me wonder if it's some kind of virus or weird hiccup in my phone (more info: I also have no yet updated to 2.2 so I don't think it has to do with Froyo). Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts?

Thanks!

You have the dreaded Commonwealth of Massachusetts Virus!!! ;-)

:D That made me burst out laughing lol!

Uhhhh....there's Patriot Day and then there is Patriots' Day.

Patriot Day is 9/11 and Patriots' Day is the third Monday in April. Google FTW!!!

Oh, if you want to get rid of the Holiday notice, then go into your calender and uncheck US Holidays.

Thank you! Found a way to get in there and toggle it off. Weird thing was when I turned it back on to see what would happen, more random holidays came up. Turned it off and am leaving it that way!

I guess that's a setting we can toggle. Would suck if we were just getting push calendar holidays and/or events.... such as entries for sales at local Verizon stores for.crap you don't want or need.

That would totally suck. I thought for sure it was something that was added on cause it only popped up 2 days ago after having the phone since May.

Thanks again all!
