Accessories 2150 vs 3500

Does anyone have any info in the difference in additional thickness to the phone between the Verizon 2150 and the Seidio 3500?

Siedio's website says 3-4mm of additional thickness. Does anyone know what the 2150 adds?

I don't know the specifics and am curious too. It does however look thicker with the Seido's on (and admittedly more "grotesque" too), but perhaps things are different hands on with a side by side comparison.

According to my dial caliper, 4.9 mm. Could be off by .1 mm or so as I was trying not to pinch the phone and leave marks, to the detriment of accuracy.

Looking at the Seidio pix, 3 - 4 mm seems like it might be an underestimate...looks sort of like the Step Pyramid, doesn't it?

Of course the Seidio 3500 won't really have 3500 mAh(The Seidio 3200 battery has 2600 in reality). It will probably be ~2800. There are also reports that Seidio extended batteries lose their capacity over time much quicker than first party batteries.

So to hopefully answer several questions:

1.) I believe the 2150 Battery is a little thinner (.5mm) than the Seidio 3500. I have the HTC 2150 and prefer it since it actually matches its claim for battery power. See this http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/119578-battery-testing-results.html

2.) I prefer the extended battery for the freedom from the wall. I travel frequently, and sometimes dont have access to charge up my phone (I am an avid outdoorsman and camper). Knowing I can use the phone heavily and not need a charger immediately is nice.

Modifying a silicone case isnt too difficult for fitting the extended battery.

I bought a $3 case from amazon, so if I buy one that works with the extended, it should be worth it.

I believe the 2150, 2600, and 3200, and 3600mah battery all are within 1mm of size between them and the HTC battery door will fit all. I'm currently using a honghong battery door which does not have a case available for it so I'm running into some problems trying to find something that will fit with it. The hongkong case does not come with a hump, instead the entire backside of the phone is large and the battery door is equally extended throughout.

But to answer your question, i think they are all within the same size, and i'm using a 3600mah ebay battery and all the other batteries i've seen seem the same size to me, through my eye at least.
