Root xtrsense 4.2 battery life

Ok so i flashed xtrsense yesterday with no major problems, but it seems as if my battery is running down faster than before :/ i just finished charging it, from zero to 100 and then i just watched a short youtube vid (like 3 min) and surfed the web and now im at 86...any ideas to improve my battery life???

If you run the set_cpu_min_192000.sh script in Gscripts, this will help your battery life a good amount. After you've done this, be sure to Reboot.

Now, follow these steps to optimize and calibrate your actual battery:

1. With your phone powered ON, plug it into the charger.
2. Charge until the LED is Green, showing the phone as being fully charged.
3. Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it OFF as quickly as possible.
4. Once the screen and your menu lights are completely dark, showing your phone as being completely OFF, reconnect the phone to the charger.
5. Charge until the LED is Green, showing the phone as being fully charged.
6. Disconnect your phone from the charger.
7. Power your phone ON and, as quickly as possible, power it back OFF.
8. Reconnect your phone to the charger.
9. Once the LED is Green, boot into Recovery by holding Power On + Vol Up simultaneously.
10. In Recovery, go to Wipe > Battery Stats.
11. Go back and Power Off your phone from Recovery.
12. Ensure that your phone is now completely OFF and that the LED is Green.
13. Disconnect your phone and Power On.
14. Use as normal.
15. (A lot of people will say, at this point, to use your phone until it powers itself off, then recharge it while off to 100%. Not sure if this is really necessary of not.)

It has been my experience too that after flashing a rom, the battery seems to go a little faster the first day or two. Give it a few days and it will even out. At first the phone is syncing all of your stuff back and it uses more battery. I am on xtrrom and get much better life than pre root. I can be unplugged and moderate use from 9am to 11pm and still have 50% battery left. Havent done the 192000 min script mentioned above either because no need to for mee. Just give it a few days.

so once I do this... after the reboot will I need to go into SetCPU and change any profiles?

If you are using SetCPU, it will override these settings. These are default settings to set the minimum clock speed without needing SetCPU.

I should note that if you are using SetCPU, for some reason "set on boot" does not seem to work with xtrROM (at least in my experience.) You actually have to start SetCPU to get it to start controlling clock speed.

I recommend against using SetCPU. I've found that setting my CPU profiles just by using zach.xtr's scripts has worked better for me.

A lot of people have experienced that too. Using zach.xtr's scripts side-steps this issues and, in my experience, has actually worked better for my phone and any of the SetCPU Profiles I had used previously.

On xtrSENSE, I like to use set_cpu_max_748 and set_cpu_min_192. Now that I'm using xtrSENSE4.5.1, I'm just using the Max script because of the kernel but it doesn't matter--battery life with the CFS kernel is better without using the super low Min.

Is the cfs kernal buggy or does it run pretty well? Oh and my battery life is doing much better, its probably the set_cpu_min script that does it. and time

I have been running the CFS kernel for a couple of weeks and have not noticed any problems. I can't say it runs better, but it definitely doesn't run worse.
