Where is the update that was supposed to drop today? Anyone gotten it OTA or otherwise? I can't find anything on Samsung's support page and when I manually check for updates thru the phone it says nothing is available?

I put my neck on the chopping block on this forum believing that Samsung has turned overr a new leaf and would actually start offering support for their mobile devices. I hope they don't prove me wrong!

On the brightside... the first update for my EVO bricked my phone, so maybe it's a good thing it's taking so long.

How Do I Update The Software On My Sprint SPH-d700 (Epic 4G) Phone To DI07?

Almost 5PM here on the East Coast... still no update.

"Today Samsung announced via their Facebook page that they are sending out an update to all Epic 4Gs running on the Sprint network and, while it's not Froyo, it does bring some important enhancements and bug fixes. "

Well it's still today, so lets hope they'll get around to releasing this update. Otherwise it would be pretty stupid of them to make this announcement today on their Facebook page.

While this update is cool for those who have been waiting to use the media hub app, I have to agree with what this member said over in the Sprint forum regarding this update...

"How about a update to fix something important. Like the capped upload speeds (150kbps), signal dropping and GPS issues. Instead of just enabling a revenue stream for Samsung"

Amen ... I was expecting to see much more useful fixes. This is almost insulting.

Yeah! Why are we waiting for the important updates like lifting that stupid cap? Also instead of creating a new revenue stream for Samsung why don't they fix the battery drain that time without signal causes? Oh, and I'm still waiting for this update. It's 4:20 pm in California. Do you know where my update is?

At one point I was thinking we need to have a little patience, the phone has only been out for two weeks. But that went out the window when I see them pushing their Media Hub stuff before taking care of certain fixes.

Come on Samsung, how about having some priorities!
