Fallout: New Vegas

YES! I love Fallout 3...I expect this game to be just as awesome. Bethesda knows how to make some quality games.

I sure am! Already pre-ordered. Considering the quality of Fallout 3 and Oblivion, I wouldn't put it past Bethesda to make Fallout: New Vegas even better!

Actually, New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment this time. Bethesda are still publishing it, but I guess they'll have less influence in this one.

But yeah, a launch day purchase for me :D

Interesting!!!! Everything I have heard and read shows Bethesda is developing it. Oh well, if they have their hands in the cookie jar, it will still be great.

Excited but not "pre-order" excited, for some reason. And I'm a massive Bethesda fan... maybe i'm just waiting for a TES sequel...

You and everyone else. I can't wait to see what happens with a TES:V. All I know is I hope they build a new engine for it, or seriously overhaul the one they built for Oblivion/FO3. Something with more capabilities, something that'll really make you realize it's not something that could have been an expansion of Oblivion.

I also hope they take their time with it and don't release it before it's good and ready. Even if that means I have to go without for longer than I'd like.

Ya they can take their time and get it right, that's fine. What do we have left on these consoles? 2-3 years or so?

Seems TES games always come within a year of the newly released consoles.

Well to be honest, if you play the TES games on a console you're really missing out. PC has a MASSIVE modding community that do first rate work. I mean seriously there are some mods out there ranking at near professional quality. You can mod the thing to breath a whole new kind of life into the games after the first few times you've played through it vanilla style.

What I do is get the game on the console on launch then wait a year or so and buy the PC version with all the "official" add-ons, then get into the modding community as by that time it is well developed.

Did this with Morrowind and Oblivion and it's like playing the game, then jumping into a more expanded version later.

I definetly know what you mean on the modding side though, don't get me wrong but I like to wait until it's going full-tilt.
