I noticed this as well, but I found it to add to the humor in a way. I like how it didn't just go for the obvious: "Droid can do this, iPhone cannot". It emphasized the control the user has over the Android platform, as opposed to iOS. iPhone user was immediately told that he could not accomplish the task, Android user was able to try many things to see if he could accomplish his task before giving up. At the same time, I can see how this kind of cartoon would turn some people off. Some people just wouldn't want to go through a lot of steps just to see if they could accomplish a task, some people would actually prefer to be able to see that there's no app for it, and then not have to go any further trying to figure it out. Of course, I would never settle for this, and that's why I love Android so much. Technically, this strip isn't very accurate though. You generally wouldn't have to root or flash a custom ROM just to find out if you could accomplish task X. And if you found out that the task requires rooting or a custom ROM, you could then decide to root or not, knowing that if you do, you would be able to do this task. This cartoon also kind of implies that, to do some things on Android you would have to learn about coding apps, which isn't what the average consumer wants to hear when they are comparing products.
