I would appreciate any and all answers. I have an iPhone 4, but am just not enjoying it too much.

I want a Droid phone (Captivate or Xperia). However, I have a LOT invested in iTunes (both music and movies). Can anyone tell me if I can actually play these things on a Droid?

If so, does album art go with it? Is there a way to sync these things with a Mac?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm envious of the customization of you Droid guys and want to join the group.

Thanks again!

I'd really recommend the captivate over the Xperia. Watch some youtube video reviews of both phones and you'll see how nice the captivate really is.

And yes you can play these on an android phone. You may have issues however with movies purchased through itunes as they may have DRM. For everything else either doubletwist or isyncr will do just fine.

Do you have to stay on AT&T? Even though there are ways around it, AT&T takes away some of the functionality that makes Android great, such as side-loading apps. If you're stuck with AT&T the Captivate is nice, but I actually prefer the T-Mobile Vibrant which when unlocked supports AT&T's 3G band. I'd definitely recommend the Captivate over the Xperia though.

As long as there's no DRM you're good to go.

Yes but iTunes doesn't always store album art in the tag info for each file. You may need to do some tag cleanup, depending on the current state of your library. If you do clean up the tags, clean them up on your Mac.

Seriously, if you must stay with AT&T, root your phone. Look for a guide online for the phone you choose, because AT&T cripples their Android phones.

I wouldn't say the Captivate is crippled. Yes, side loading is disabled but thats easy enough to work around without rooting. Yes the AT&T apps are really lame but you aren't forced to use them. All the main Google apps are there.

I haven't even bothered rooting mine yet, I was waiting until a decent rom was available that fixed the GPS issue. The new beta rom from Samsung looks promising enough but now I'll probably wait and see if the official fix is coming in Sept.
