given all the tweaking I'm doing for battery sakes, I think it's a bit silly that probably the single biggest gain wrt battery life could be gained through the elimination of bump charging. if I could wake up in the morning and have my phone actually charged to 100% instead of 90%ish, that would be great

any rom's or apps have a way to fix this?

yeah i like my phone on, where are the tasker pros? (i havent had a chance to figure this out), since i don't need the phone while I'm brushing my teeth in the morning or taking a du....uhhh reading the paper, a way to set the phone to just turn off a little before my alarm wakes me up would be perfect, grab it and turn back on as I'm heading out the door would be just about right and give it the bump. for now I just use the wall charger and swap between a 2100 and 3500, both make it 24 hrs for me so I swap battery in the am fresh off the wall and away I go, kind of a pita but it works, and i havent actually plugged my phone in for a long time so hopefully avoid some charging issues down the road.

I got really tired of bump charging with the stock battery since I feel the need to keep the phone on. So I purchased the 1500 HTC battery and don't bump charge it.

With my normal use I get a little more out of the 1500 without bump charging it than I did bump charging the stock battery. I do charge over night, every night, powered up while sleeping.

I do use it a fair amount but not real heavy so I get through the day with power to spare. When I am doing something that is a real battery killer I tend to be either on the wall charger or car charger so I pretty much break even or better on that.
