I found a great app protector for my evo, ive been looking for one for a while now.

App Protector (the one with the yellow icon). There is a lite version that is full featured and lasts for 7 days then you have to purchase.

But of the other app protectors ive used, I think this one is the best, and might be my first app purchase. (Im not big on buying apps)

It has a widget, for quick and easy on and off (and it IS quick and easy, unlike other apps. click and its on, click pattern lock and its off)

And you can use a pattern lock. You can have haptic feedback on the pattern, and choose to hide the "trail" of the pattern for added security from those with rubber necks looking over your shoulder.

All in all, its a great App protector.

What personal info can be that private? You sendin' noody pics between you and the wife? I know the married life can need spicing up once in awhile, but you usually delete those messages a few minutes after you get 'em. Lol.

I can understand protecting your e-mail and calender and whatnot, but 95% of people that check your phone out don't go rooting through everything on it to figure out your personal life and where to stalk you. Chances are, those people are the ones you give a wide berth when you walk by them. Also, if you don't trust people enough that are handling your phone to the point where you use something like this... why are they handling it in the first place?

Emails, text messages, contacts and calendar are private. Period. I don't care if it's one of my best friends, no one has any business accessing this data. Just cuz they shouldn't or they probably wont....doesn't mean it CAN'T happen. With apps like these it's much more comfortable and carefree.

Just sayin

Sadly I had to uninstall App Protector :( It was a battery drain for me. It was the only app I installed that week, after I installed it my battery went back to normal.

I get good battery life, so at some point I hope to reinstall. It drain to zero but it drain faster and battery life its precious. Do its privacy, so I will reevaluate soon.
