Help Nat West Apps

no there is not, their app is iPhone only, for the time being.

android isnt as popular as the iPhone OS yet, and it seems to be that developers just arnt bothering .

wish i still had my iPhone

psh, thats not true. If there were not over 50,000 apps in the market, many from large developers, and the fact that lots of iPhone apps can be gotten on android then I would probably agree. Buts there are, so I disagree :p

I would like this too.

Tesco's just bought one out, for iphone and NOKIA of all things! No android tho :(

They're working on it )

They worked on the Nokia one first, as research showed that it was the OS most used by its core customer base, followed by iPhone because it's 'cool' to have it, and are now working on android version. (They're all being created by a third party company called Ribot)

If you go on their mobile banking page there is a bit which says about apps for other OSs and to contact them to be told when an app is available.

But don't waste your time as it has already been posted that they ARE working on an Android app and they don't have a facility right now to contact people who are interested!

OFI please don't take this personally but , What do you mean "they don't have a facility right now to contact people who are interested!"

surely if people have notified them they are interested then they are going to have a list of "interested peoples emails"? so they can email us when it's ready, or do NATWEST not have email? I know my natwest bank manager sends me regular emails...

Hi all, new to all this so I will start with an easy one for now. I have The Desire but was wondering if there is an app out there for Nat West Banking like they do for the i-phone. Anyone???
I find I can use the NatWest internet banking page perfectly well to access my a/c, check balances, pay bills etc. First direct, however, won't talk to any android browsers I have thrown at it!

I've not been brave enough to try that yet.

The Natwest system will throw you out after one incorrect attempt at login (well, it has to me more than once before). And I find the combination of softkeyboard and a webpage login screen prone to just this. Think I'd rather wait for an app with a nice big login screen. Nice to know it's coming at least.

Maybe I'm just chicken.

I have no trouble accessing my First Direct account through the internet page, I simply bookmarked the login page and start from there....

I can't find the page.

Have you got a link?

Thanks. :)

Your wish is my command, copy of email sent today:

"When are Nat West finally going to get around to developing an Application for Android mobile phones? You have had an iPhone app for over 6 months, despite the fact the Android operating system is spreading far faster than Apple. I can only assume that this is because your mobile strategy is being driven by iPhone luvvies in the marketing department rather than serving the needs of you clients." :)
