Help :@ getting really pi**ed of now

I have a 16GB sandick memory card in my htc desire and i take pics and vid and when i go to look at them they are there for like 10 mins go to look again and they have deleted there self so nothing shows up on memory card anyone got any idea what this could be to cause this ?

I had a similar problem. Don't panic. They're still there. Sometimes for reasons known only to the pixies that live under the big stone at the bottom of your garden, the Desire misreads the SD Card.

Just grab "Rescan Media" from the Market. Run it, and it forces your phone to scan the card. Then everything will show up just fine.

I have downloaded it how long do u have to leave it to scan i have left it and it jsut says scanning at the top of the screen do i have to do this every time i want to find a pic of a video i have taken?

No not every time. To be honest, it was a reoccurring issue I had, and I only ran this app once. Never had the problem again.

My 16Gig card only took a couple of seconds to scan.

oh right well mine is still scanning and it is a 16gb sandisk sd card also there are to diffrent rescans there is a root version as my phone is rooted would i need that version?

well it has not bought back all my old pics and vid but i have took a few more jsut to test i will leave it a couple of hours and check if they are still there later it must be somethign to do with the sd card or the phone cant handle it
