no slingbox app in Epic 4g Market Place

I just opted out of my verizon contract because I wanted the Epic 4g. I knew going into this I wouldn't have 2.2 like i did for my incredible but I at least expected all the apps that I had on the incredible to be available for download for the epic. What gives? Why can't I download the slingbox app on the market place? Does anybody know when it'll be available for download? this is a deal breaker for me if there is no way to get this on my new phone?

Have you done the latest DI07 update?

If so, give it a few days and see if it shows up.

yes I have. It still doesn't show up. How can I tell if I have updated or not. I have the media hub already on my phone. Does that mean I should have the lastest update?

Scroll down to Build Number... if last 4 are "DI07" then you have the latest update.

I checked my phone and I do have the latest update but the slingbox app still doesn't show up for me to download. At least I know it was available at one point to epic owners so maybe you are right. If I wait a few days, it'll be available for download.

Just checked, and I can't get it either. It shows up on appbrain, but is unavailable when I click on it.

The kick flick game was one of the games I bought with my Incredible and I can't play it on my epic!!! I thought updates were suppose to be a good thing.

Do you have the latest update? From what I'm getting, It looks like the latest update that added the media hubb on the phone caused certain apps that were once available in the market to disappear.

The above post appears accurate. It happened to me (missing 3 paid apps) after I completed the media hub update.

This same thing happened to the Hero on Sprint after an update back in January. It took a few days for the issue to be fixed but it took users bringing it to the attention of the powers that be.

Since I got this phone yesterday, I'm debating if I should go return the epic for another one since I'm having other issues with it as well such as the phone not connecting to my desktop and the sd card not reading all the time so I have to restart my phone. After charging the phone overnight, I woke up this morning with my epic really warm on the bottom and the screen wouldn't turn on. I had to restart my phone by pulling the battery out. So do you guys think if I return the phone to get another epic and not update that one, I can download my slingbox app and then update. Would the app work fine afterwards?

About the phone warming up, that happened to me when I forgot to do the time without service fix (toggle airplane mode on and off). It was burning my leg up and I didn't no why at first. After I toggled flight mode it cooled down. About connecting to your computer, make sure you have the correct drivers installed on your computer so that it recognizes your phone
