ok i seen the saving tips on this site nothing is quite going to plan , the only thing i have synced is my google mail and weather every 4 hours ..

when i went to sleep last night my battery was on 94% when i woke up this morning it was totally drained and cant think of any reason it would of done that ...

any suggestions

I've left it in-situ as the problem is with a custom ROM.

Try this.... charge it up fully before bed, unplug and leave it overnight as normal, and in the morning enter *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer. When the test menu opens select "Battery History" then "CPU usage" + "Since last unplugged". This will show the most likely guilty process.

Will work in the case the phone doesn't shutdown I think :p . Not sure. But he can try anytime to check on it. He should also look on the other usage and check if the hero was able to sleep. And in the partial wake for the wakelock entries. Also checking the sensors might say something. Actually check everything there :p

Anyway adz63 if you dont find the reason of the draining. And all the tips here and on the froyd site(calibrate, brightness(wont do any good when off right? :p, sync off + data off for the night, gps off, rotate off, and the many others) wont help you

Then you have to wait for the fix. Ninpo seemed to identify the problem and should be fixed in the next release (the date is not yet known) Its an upstream bug for all CM base roms.

hi slug and nedamdam .. slug i have that spare parts app where you can look at all the battery cpu etc history , as my phone drained and had to charge it i couldnt look at the since last unplugged coz that would not tell me nothing obviously but i looked at the all time option and there is nothing out of the ordinary ..

my wifi is never turned on , i used gps other day for 5 mins just to check out how good it was and then got turned straight off , brightness is at its lowest bearable setting , rotate is off , only thing thats synced is gmail and weather , weather is every 4 hours and takes 2 secs to do its job, its been ok today so far .. well 88% i have sent 8 txts and made calls accounting to 4min and the rest of time its been on sleep .. if i go to market for 5 mins from a full charge it drops 15% in about 5 mins

Bingo! Turn it back on and see how things work out.... I'll bet that it's the akmd process that's been hogging the CPU and hammering the battery. I don't fully understand why this occurs on some handsets but the accelerometer/compass daemon has been fingered as the culprit.

Slug :D man , if this is the case . You have some link to some details? Btw if you remember I told you having this trouble. I used the alankila driver on ele, and it seemed to work. akmd was not there :p

oh one nice picture :p (its kinda screwed since I am charging :p . but looks nice) btw its just for ilustration since I think this is since I flashed the rom. or I dont know :)
