Does anyone know if Samsung is going to issue a fix so that we can hear rings and notifications in our bluetooth?

It never dawned on me to check and see if the Epic would ring in the blue tooth because it has been many phones since I had one that didn't. I need the ringing bluetooth to know I have a call while in the car. Heck I need it to hear it in the office if the phone is in my pants.

Howard I know it will not help us out of the car, but I just ordered BlueAnt Supertooth 3 Bluetooth Handsfree Speaker Black from Tiger Direct for $60. It announces any callers by name from your address book so I assume it will notify you of any calls if it doesn't I'll let you know. At least that will solve one problem hopefully.

Maybe Samsung will go back to having phones do what they are suppose to do, let you know when people call. LOL But who cares if you can talk on the phone if you can play games and watch tv.:D

I hear my phone ring and notifications through my bluetooth. Using a Motorola bluetooth earpiece model H505 (old earpiece but works great).

I am also puzzled by this. I just figured that I didn't know how to set something up correctly.

Using a Plantronics Voyager Pro.

Out of curiosity, how is the audio quality of your voyager pro with your Epic? Mine doesn't sound right compared to previous phones. It seems tinny and distorted, whereas used with other phones the audio quality has been very good.

OK, I was reading this thread and thinking I had imagined hearing my phone ring through the headset, but apparently it does work for some headsets - I have an H500. Got it for $13 over a year ago, and still works like a champ :)

Discovery 975 sounds just fine and loud. Don't have to turn it up as much as I did on other phones.

I'm haivng an issue with the bluetooth feature. if I want to dial out from the bluetooth (hands free) I have to actually dial from the epic it won't voice dial from the bluetooth. The bluetooth has the capabilities b/c it asks for a command but then the phone does nothing... is it the epic itself or what?
