Help Calendar Reminder

I believe you have to uncheck the all day and then you can add a time of your choosing

Does anyone know if there is a way to set the default reminder time for all day events? I'd rather not have my phone's alarm go off at 11:50pm, when I'm trying to sleep. Instead, I'd rather have the default time set for, say, 10am. Any suggestions?

Got you, no I do not believe there is an option for that as of yet, I am sure when I Google that a while back that many were complaining about that but do not believe Google has implemented that as of yet. Would be nice if they listen, I think I looked this up back in 2009

FYI one thing I have not tried and you can give it a shot, is change your calender view to daily instead of monthly and see if that allows you the set an all day event at a certain time, I am at work right and do not have time to try it, let us know

Sure, but then the appointment won't show as an all day event on my calendar. I'm looking for a way to keep the appointment as an all day (say, someone's birthday) but give me a reminder at 10am instead of 11:50pm. Any ideas?

Not sure what ROM you're running, but in CM6 you can set quiet hours so you don't hear notifications during a set time span (ie. when you're asleep). There's also apps where you can setup profiles based on time of day...doing a search for "profile" would probably bring some up.

That's a great thought - can the profiles allow for suppression of alarms but still let phone calls get through (say, for emergencies, and whatnot)? Or perhaps I just set a "quiet time" of 11:30p-12a to suppress all alarms like that :)

I'm currently running Fresh 2.4.0, but I'd be open to switching if that was the only option.

well, i'm not really sure how all the apps would work. obviously, ideally it would allow you to set which notifications you get/don't get in a profile. I used to use an app called "quick profile". it wasn't time based, but would let you create shortcuts to specific profiles so it was just a click to set it. unfortunately since i've been on cm6 i started getting fc with it, and honestly didn't use it enough to keep messing with. there are other ones though that do have the time option.

i never experienced any issue with my calendar...most my all day stuff i have set to like 12 hours before. i did have it with my gmail, and i finally just set my gmail to vibrate only so it doesn't wake me up at night, and then had to configure all sms alerts i get to not send all hours of the day/night.

It's easy to do on google calendars from your computer (if that's what you're using). Just create an event with a reminder, then check "repeat" and change "weekly" to "daily" and the number to 4. That should be easy. I can't seem to find the same thing on my phone's calendar. Hopefully that helps!
