I am on my third epic and still having the same problem. My notification light worked fine when the phone was first activated and slowly stopped working altogether. I also bought my girlfriend one and the same thing happened to hers. That's four phones in three weeks. I can't be the only one that is having this issue. Anyone else? My setting for the light to pulse is checked. I have also done a factory reset.

Having the same problem. Worked fine for the first coupel days.. I gotta think that it may be a conflict with some apps. Same thing happened to me with the voice call announcement. It kept going off even tho it was checked "OFF" had a voice app installed and it was also off but kept announcing. deleted the app and it was fine.. Im going head to my sprint store will keep u posted if i find out anything.

My notification LED works just fine. Red when charging, blue when full, blinks red when I have pending notifications, etc... No problems at all with mine.

Is there anyway to change the color of the LED depending on the type of notification. This one fact is making me hate this new epic (RIP my little Droid1), I just want different colors for different notifications - green for email - blue from texts from a certain person, yellow for texts from everyone else, red for low battery, etc... Is this possible? I've changed the settings in Handcent to change led color, doesn't seem to work.

You truly "hate" this device because it can't change notification light to different colors?

Same problem on mine as well. I'm on my second one. Had a system update problem and the new one seems to be working with prl and all of that, but I do have the notification problem just like the first one. Sometimes I wouldn't even get it to blink. Maybe in time it will be a fix. The thing is...it's not like just ONE person has this issue, so there is something there to look at. The best thing you can do is contact Sprint or Samsung and let them know. The more people that have that issue the more willing they are to hopefully look into the problem.
