Has anyone noticed the following after the update?

YouTube has a new stock home page widget which shows most popular videos ( that seems to mean that it is constantly checking now)

The screen brightness is darker. I always have the screen set as low as it can go (I use quick settings) but now it appears darker then before.

Anyone notice any other minor side effects?

Okay, so I plugged my phone into my netbook to charge. My netbook has Kies on it. If you're on the homescreen it usually takes you straight to the MTP and starts up Kies. Now there's a message saying "Press homescreen key to exit Kies application" or something of that sorts. Now you can exit the MTP application without having to unplug the phone, set it to whatever you want to use, and replug it back in.

Also, apparently there's a Kies update too.

I had the issue with the darker screen also. I checked my brightness settings and it was all the way down, which isn't where I had it set prior to the update.

and I just noticed my youtube widget missing from my screen so I re added it and mine too has the most popular videos it scrolls through. My question is does the scrolling though the videos showing the most popular keep using data if the videos change? Not a big deal for me since I have the unltd plan but for those that don't would it be issue??

Also, taken from the Samsung USA facebook page -

Samsung USA The Samsung Captivate's GPS performance update is now available!!! Look for a notification from AT&T & download the file to update your phone. This will be pushed OTA (over the air) by AT&T over the next few weeks, starting today.

The update also improves other functions, such as media scanning time, Microsoft Exchange 2003 policy support, and the full version of Quickoffice.
