The processor is huge for gaming AND high def movies :) But as far as gaming goes... there aren't many that push the hardware simply because the Galaxy S\Droid X phones are the first with a GPU worthy of playing crazy games.

However... if you really wanna see a smooth framerate on some 3D games...

Dungeon Hunter (my favorite RPG)
Toonwarz (pretty much unplayable on my EVO, perfect on the Epic)
Raging Thunder
Asphalt 5

I'd also mention the playstation emulator, but at present it doesn't use hardware acceleration... which sucks.

First attempt at gaming on Android... complete failure. I installed Dungeon Hunter, but it freezes about half way through the update of the game once I'm in the game itself.

I uninstalled, deleted all files, and even re-downloaded and installed it again - same issue.

Is there a way to manually update the game maybe? Any good site for someone with no Android gaming experience to go for info on this? Honestly, I had less trouble installing an NES emulator than I'm having installing an actual for-sale game :(

Same problem with the same game. I tried wifi and 3g.

The other game loft games seem to work fine.

Huh. I just bought Dungeon Hunter today and the download finished fine a few hours ago.

From what I understand, Gameloft started making these games on the iPhone app store first, but they didn't really take a liking to android. That's why they aren't using the market and are making us download them from their store. Results may vary.... but I did get the game to install just fine. I have a pretty fast wifi connection but I don't know if that helps.

EDIT: So I took the game for a spin... and I was surprised by how poorly it ran. The framerate was very smooth, but the game froze every 5-10 seconds. Usually when enemies appeared. The jumpiness made the overall experience pretty bad. The game actaully runs smoother on my iPod Touch 2G.

I wonder if the game just isn't optimized for this phone. I'll try more gameloft games tonight and see.
