new to Android, finally got the handset off the Telus default and onto Google.com, finally got a gmail account and now I would like to download some application. Click on market, it shows me a few featured apps, and I cannot get it to show me how to download anything or even display the app library.
Help, this is embarassing.

Welcome Unclebruno (cool name),

No worries, we're here to help ;)

First, you see that magnifying glass in the top right corner? That's your search button. Hit that then search for whatever you want. For example, you can type in Ringtones, bank of america, etc. Whatever it is you are looking for.

I also recommend an app called Appbrain. Download that app to your phone and then go to appbrain.com on your computer.
This way you can browse apps on your computer, click install, then go to appbrain on your phone and click sync.
MAkes looking for apps easier.
