Root Unrevoked 3.21 Rooting

I rooted my evo with unrevoked 3.21 tonight. I have some concerns nothing is wrong with the phone but maybe I should have done some research first. I thought when I rooted I would be able to uninstall the crapware Sprint put on MY phone. I learned that I am not able to do that with unrevoked. I would require a full root to gain r/w permissions. With all smartphones I have owned when you mess with the OS you can just do a factory reset and you are back to normal minus any apps and personal touches you have done to the phone. A Clean Slate. How do I do this with the Evo. I thought maybe I could go to the Sprint Website and just download the OS and wipe the phone. Have I permanently altered this Evo by rooting it with Unrevoked.

You need to find the Stock RUU from xda and flash that. You can do factory resets all day long but you will still be rooted.

You really should have read more about this before doing it. Everywhere you look about rooting, every tells you to READ and UNDERSTAND what you are doing before you do it.

Unrevoked 3.21 is a full root which includes NAND unlock so you are able to delete the Sprint crapware. Download Titanium Backup from market and use that to remove any apps you want.

Generally how much space is saved, MB, with getting rid of the sprintcrAPPs??

Now wait a minute. i seem to be confused here. I used unrevoked 3.21 to root my Evo running stock Android 2.1. As far as i can tell I am rooted. I am ble to flash the custom recovery. Also ble to use wireless tether but cannot use titanium backup. It keeps saying that I am not rooted.

UnrEVOked 3.21 is defiantly 100% full root, no ifs and or buts about it. Even if you accepted the new OTA you should still have root but I hear that you cant unroot (not 100% about that part).
I used 3.21 also and have no problems with Titanium backup. Did you grant it superuser permissions when it asked you? If you click the superuser "little ninja" in your apps you should see TB in there if not you didn't grant it permission. I did notice that I TB didn't give me enough time to give it root permissions the first time I opened it. I gave it permission, closed TB then when I reopened it was fine. If you don't have the super user app then something definitely went wrong.

Not having busybox installed was the problem for me. Installed through TB and all is good.

I supported TB and ROM Mgr and purchased. (among other apps). It's the least I could do for all the great things that are done for us in the Android world.

Damn, I knew I should have mentioned that busybox issue to.

I started with Baked Snack since a friend had it. I tried CM6 but no 4g was not for me, so I went back to Baked Snack.

I just read an article on Android Police that compare some of the Roms and am thinking about trying Fresh EVO this weekend. I need to do some research and see which ones have the new update in them. Link to the Android police article below.

well my silly self thought that unrevoked 3.21 would include busybox if it was a complete root lol. But I had to download busybox via titanium backup lol. but all is good now.

ok so my next question is, in order for me to update my phone to stock android 2.2 I have to flash the stock recovery image correct?
Or my other option is to how does one flash android 2.2 on a evo that is already rooted with 2.1, and also has clockwork recovery/busy box installed???

and question 3, anyway just to upgrade to the newest OTA that is already rooted so i can skip multiple flashes?
