Wal-mart is selling the Vibrant for $98 w/ 2 year agreement. At first, I was planning on going to the T-mobile store and buying it for $199 + $50MIR until I went to walmart and saw their price...so is there any reason why I should or shouldn't buy this phone from walmart other than the saving of like $100.
Meaning, does walmart charge for other things, you get different things included, ect...

well walmart has been selling the vibrant since the phone came out, and it has been cheaper than getting it via t-mobile. I may be wrong, but I believe walmart uses letstalk, so you are really getting the contract through letstalk. Do some research, letstalk may require that you sign a seperate terms and conditions contract with them, along with the one t-mobile makes you sign. Understand ALL terms and conditions. If you cancel service prior to 2 yrs for example, not only will t-mobile charge you an early termination fee, but letstalk may also. Not saying they will, i'm just giving you an example of what can happen if letstalk has their own terms and conditions.

Just to let you know, you should prolly read this thread. I posted other options for getting the phone:

costco website (you don't have to have a costco membership)
amazon

For clarity,

Radioshack is currently selling the phone pretty much the same - $99 upfront per phone when you also sign a 2-year contract with Tmobile.

That said, I brought this into a nearby T-mobile store and they offered to "price match" and sell me two phones for the same price w/o rebates. They only checked by looking at the radioshack website to confirm the pricing.

I was additionally quizzed as to who I worked for and who was my insurance provider, and credited 15% off my monthly bills as a result of affiliate programs. Not sure whether Walmart or Radioshack can do the same when setting up your account.

Hope that helps ;).

I actually went to wal-mart the other day and was shocked that they sold it. I know that when I bought my Vibrant from T-mobile I seemed to get some off of my bill for the following month and was actually able to get some off my internet because they were able to see that I have the myfaves plan.
