Help Can't put this phone down! Only wish the tones were louder

Just picked this up yesterday and I'm very impressed. This is my first droid phone and it blows away the other phones I've owned in the past. Not really a fan of the iPhone and have been on AT&T forever..it's time for a change. My last phone was a Nokia E72 which is a great phone, but wanted more! Gonna put that on E-bay soon hah.

The only complaints I have so far are the notification sounds are quiet even at the max volume setting. The Nokia E72 is a lot louder both in ringtone and sms tones. Also, the four buttons on the bottom sometimes don't respond. I find I have to occasionally hit the same button a couple times to get it to work. Very minor tho imo. It's not too frequent.

If anyone knows how to make the tones louder or if there's a decent app that does so, let me know. Thanks.

Overall tho this phone is great..honestly its hard to put down! I'm very happy switching to Sprint.

Yea volume for both at 100% i did that right away. Got zedge and im using a loud car horn for the notifications. It is better, but could still be a bit louder imo. Don't get me wrong tho, I really like this phone.
i'm having the same issue even at 100% its just not as loud as the incoming calls even when using the same ringtone for both. i dont like it either

I had the same problem. I downloaded a zip file with all of the Blackberry notfications and ringtones and use those instead. It's a night and day difference. On 100% volume, they are too loud.

Newbie here....I was able to locate and download the Blackberry notifications and ring tones zip, but can you tell me where on the memory card to put them on so I can "choose" them?

Thanks

On your SD card create a Ringtones, Alarms and Notifications folder within the media/audio directory.

Your directory structure will look like this

/sdcard/media/audio/alarms

/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones

/sdcard/media/audio/notifications

Hope that helps ;)

Okay stupid question.
Is it possible to add folders to your SD card using the phone, or must you plug it into your desktop computer?

Yes you can do it on your phone. You should have an app called "My files" start that up and select where you want to create a new folder, press the menu button and it will give you the option to create a folder.

Thanks- for some reason I did not have the alarms or ringtones folder on my SD card (the notifications folder was there- with only one file in it). But I did add the two other folders with "my files" app and all is well :)
