Help Help - Attachments from gmail take FOREVER to download

Whenever someone sends me a pic or any other kind of file, my Evo's gmail just sits there swirling and swirling. Takes minutes to download anything. Is there some setting I'm missing or is this a broader issue?

What does that mean? The phone's software has a glitch? Should I look into exchanging it?

Its not a sinless phone issue. Since 2.2 attatchments take forever to preview and or download. Haven't found a fix yet.

I'm not sure if it's a problem with the 9/22 EVO firmware update or the latest gmail update, but I can't open any jpeg files. Is there any fix? The previous version worked fine, now it's a no go.

Yes, you can add your gmail account in HTC mail. I have deleted the HTC mail client from my phone but someone out there might be able to walk you through the set up. I recall it being very easy to do back when my phone wasn't rooted.

I'll check into this...haven't noticed any issues

Edit: no issues...jpegs are working fine in my gmail app
